10:00am: Liam Shorte from Sonas Wealth - Obtaining appropriate financial advice.

Liam is a very popular speaker at our branch and has returned at the special request of our members. In this talk, Liam will provide some useful guidance to ensure that retirees receive financial advice that meets their needs and is suitable to their circumstances.

Retirees will gain some tips on how to prepare for meetings with their financial advisor, so that the advisor understands their current financial situation and their short and longer term financial goals and challenges. Liam will also explain how the advice process works and what good personal financial advice actually looks like. Liam also took our members through the process of finding a reputable advisor, plus all the RED FLAGS that you need to look out for. Members can review this video on our Zoom site

Members will participate in the annual AGM, selecting the office bearers and assisting with voluntary roles
